Sally-Adopted!
First of all I want to thank everyone at MSEA for all they have done to
help us adopt Sally (AKA Baby Girl). MSEA is very fast and easy to work
with. I would like to thank Marketta for going to Kentucky to rescue
Sally out of the shelter and taking her to MSEA in Tennessee. I want to
thank Beth for all the emails and phone calls to get everything worked
out so fast for us to adopt Sally, about 1 ½ weeks of finding Sally on
the internet. I want to thank Wanda for a very fast and great home
visit. Wanda is very friendly and took time out of her busy schedule to
come Friday, a day early so we could go to Knoxville Saturday to get
Sally. I want to thank Allen for driving about 2 ½ to meet us in
Knoxville to cut our trip to about 4 hours (one way) instead of 6 hours.
Sally is a fun and energetic Eskie. She adjusted very fast. Sally loves
to ride and go places. Sally loves walks esp long walks. She wants to be
loved and petted. Sally is very happy and grateful to everyone that
helped her get to her new home, at Lake Greenwood, in SC. She is so
happy and loves a lot of attention. We want to help sponsor MSEA so that
many other Eskies can find good homes and have the things they need
while they are at MSEA until the right parents come along. We are very
thankful to have Sally, she is very funny and very curious, just part of
the Eskie traits we love. The only thing on Sally’s Christmas list is
that every Eskie at MSEA finds a home as good as the one she has. Sally
says “Hello, and Thank you” to all you at MSEA!! She misses you all and
sends her love.
Thank You!

Oceana
Oceana settled in just fine it was like she knew she was home. She weighs 33 lbs. now. She really to a liking to my husband, she is more of a daddy's girl. Griff take's her and Bliz for walk's which she loves. Bliz hasn,t taken to her the way we were hoping he would but maybe he will over time. You couldn,t ask for a better dog. We fell in love with her face the minute we saw it and now we love her even more.
Daisy--Adopted
Daisy has come a long way in 2 weeks. She has been accepted by her brother and sister very well and runs them each chance she gets. She is a very fast runner and the activity is a welcome sight to me. She is a little slow to accept people, but won't let me out of her sight and sleeps close to me at night. She is eating very well and will hopefully get some weight on.
I'm sending a few pictures of her at her new home with her new friends. Thanks again, I'm sure Daisy will be a source of pleasure for years to come, she is a delight to have.around.
Penny-Adopted
Dory (Penny)
I met Dory (Penny) for the first time in the middle of the night at a truck-stop. She didn’t know who this crazy lady with the furry dog was but she decided to give us a try and hopped in the car. Since then, she has just fit right in and seems to be enjoying her new home and family. After recently losing two elderly dogs, I knew that I wanted another mixed Eskimo to go along with my remaining dog. I started “just looking” on Petfinder making sure there were Eskimos available and to make sure I would be able to find one that was cat friendly. I found Dory’s sweet little picture and kept going back in to check on her but I was afraid of her age and not sure I was ready for a new one. Allen, one of Mid-South’s founders, assured me that whenever I was ready, they would find me the perfect girl. I sent him a description of the one I was looking for and he answered that Dory (Penny) was an exact match. I knew then that my first pick had been the right one and that it was time. Dory is so sweet and smart and funny. She loves to play and chase balls and then curl up in my lap and watch tv. She is learning that she is home now and everyday she settles in a little more. She is an absolute joy and a wonderful addition to the family. I am so thankful I listened to my heart and adopted Dory. And, I am so grateful for everyone at Mid-South for all their dedication and compassion. They saved my new little girl from a bad situation and got her to me — where she belongs.
Zeek
I have 2 dogs over 100 lbs, Golden Retreiver mix & Rotty mix. The Golden Retreiver used to live with a Maltese, which was really a site to see. He loves little dogs. The Rotty mix came with lots of baggage and most thought she would never allow another dog around. She requires lots of love. When I came in the house with Ricky (alias Zeek) they were very quiet and Ricky was shaking. I sat down with him, the big dogs came over and sniffed him. The Golden (Buddy) nuzzeled him. I put Ricky on the floor, they checked each other out and that was that. I was truly amazed!! It was like it was meant to be. Each day Ricky gains more confidence and likes to walk the fence with Buddy. This morning I saw Annie and Ricky sharing the couch, which is usually hers. Things like this have brought more joy to my heart than anything I can explain. I showed Ricky how to do the doggy door one time and from then on he knew how to do it. He has caught on to the routine already. I have only had him a week!! I just know he is really smart. This little guy is only 10 lbs but he runs up the stairs, back down, and up again before I can get up the first time. The three of them together is such fun to watch that it has brought a peace to me that I could not imagine.
